Investing in Students, Athletics and Community
Driven by the goal to strengthen athletics, increase outdoor activity, and enhance safety district-wide, the Cheektowaga Sloan Union Free School District undertook a comprehensive initiative to upgrade facilities across all three school campuses.
The project delivered a new multi‑purpose turf field and resurfaced track at John F. Kennedy Middle / High School, supported by a fully equipped concession stand with restrooms, drinking fountains, and enhanced lighting for nighttime visibility and wayfinding. Additional elements included digital signage and a new scoreboard, improving communication and the overall game‑day experience. At Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt Elementary Schools, new playgrounds and digital messaging displays expanded outdoor play opportunities.
Unveiled in fall 2025 ahead of the football program’s first Friday‑night home game, the revitalized athletic complex now supports both daytime and evening events, boosts attendance, and increases concession revenue.
