LEVELING UP AT LAKE SHORE CSD
The Lake Shore Central School District Capital Improvement Project came about as a response to crucial infrastructural needs across the District. A clear goal of the project was to transform the aging facilities to better support a 21st-century learning environment, safely and efficiently. This project aimed to address both immediate repairs and future needs.
The project kicked off with secure entrances added to all six schools, accompanied by extensive renovations to main offices, nurse’s offices, and lobby restrooms. Gymnasiums were modernized with refinished wood floors, updated bleachers, new safety pads, and basketball backstops. The Natatoriums also received a significant boost with the installation of fully automatic pool covers. At the High School, a 20,000 SF, a two-story addition was built, featuring new spaces like athletic offices, squad rooms, a weight room, and specialized classrooms for Wood Shop and CAD/Tech. Both High School and Middle School auditoriums were revamped with updated seating, lighting, and sound systems. The project was completed with the addition of new sidewalks, parking lots, and drainage systems at the Transportation Center.
A fully upgraded District with improved safety, modern classrooms, upgraded athletic facilities, and enhanced infrastructure, creates a more efficient, future-ready environment.
